Fall: Enjoyed a 9-3 record in fall play ... Defeated USC's Meredith Xepoleas 6-2, 6-2 when Xepoleas was ranked No. 79 ... Was the first Blue Raider since Jennifer Klaschka to be invited to the ITA All-Americans ... Went 4-0 in singles play at the Austin Peay Invite, where two of her wins came in third set tiebreaks ... William and doubles partner Nayara Moraes were 2-1 in doubles at the Invite, collecting wins at the No. 1 spot in the lineup against Southeast Missouri and Belmont.
Spring: William finished her last season at Middle Tennessee with a record of 13-7, all while playing the No. 1 spot in the lineup ... While ranked No. 67 at the time, she defeated Tennessee's Joanna Henderson 6-4, 7-5 ... Handed Georgia State's Niri Rasolomalala a loss in a third set tiebreak in a battle of two ranked players, as Rasolomalala was No. 102 in the country at the time ... Won five consecutive matches from Jan. 23-Feb. 7 ... She later reeled off seven straight victories from Feb. 27-Mar. 15 ... Fall: Produced a 4-7 record in tournament singles and a 5-6 ledger in doubles play … Reeled off two straight wins with victories over Northern Arziona’s Jordan Denesik and Samford’s Kristin Lewis … Picked up two straight doubles wins twice, once with partner Sarah Sediri and with Jesse Grace.
Spring: Named the 2014 Conference USA Newcomer of the Year … Selected First Team All-Conference USA … Selected to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll … Named the MT Athletics Female Newcomer of the Year … Recorded a 22-12 overall record and a team-best 18-4 mark in dual action … Went 16-12 in doubles and 11-6 in the spring … Started off the 2014 season with nine straight victories (Jan. 25-March 7) … Earned C-USA Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 11 for a 5-0 week against Austin Peay and Lipscomb … Produced five straight wins on March 28 through April 5 … Won all three singles matches in the C-USA Championship … Knocked off Tulsa’s Yelena Nemchen, who ranked 116th nationally, in three-sets … Won three straight doubles matches with partner Jesse Grace (Feb. 28 – March 7) … Closed out the year with two straight wins in the Conference USA Championship with partner Nayara Moraes, including an upset over Tulsa’s Renata Kuricova and Marcelina Chicon.
