Chelsea Floyd was elevated to Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Fan Engagement, and Licensing by Middle Tennessee Director of Athletics Chris Massaro in April 2023. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day and game day marketing efforts for all 17 varsity sports, as well as the University's licensing program through the Collegiate Licensing Company. She also leads branding and licensing initiatives for Middle Tennessee Athletics and played a key role in the University's comprehensive branding overhaul and the development of the new MTSU branding guide. Working alongside the Deputy AD/Chief Revenue Officer, she has a hand in developing NIL opportunities for student-athletes. In 2022, Floyd launched and now oversees the Fan Experience Committee that helps elevate the fan experience of MTSU students, alumni, and donors.

Beyond her marketing and licensing responsibilities, Floyd serves as Chair of the University's Employee Recognition Committee and has contributed to numerous University administration hiring committees. She holds a certification in Title IX in Intercollegiate Athletics and currently serves as the Sport Administrator for Women’s Soccer.

Floyd, a 2016 graduate of Middle Tennessee, joined the Blue Raider athletic department in January 2017 as assistant director of marketing and fan engagement. She served in that role until July 2018, when she was named marketing director. She was once again promoted in 2019 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement.

After earning her degree in marketing from Middle Tennessee, Floyd joined the Johnson City Cardinals in June 2016. She was responsible for all marketing, groups and promotions for the short season rookie league Cardinals.

Floyd is from Knoxville, TN, and lives in Murfreesboro with her dog Prince.
