MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee volleyball will step out of conference play to travel to Chattanooga to face UT-Chattanooga on Wednesday at 6 p.m..
The Lady Raiders are looking to solidify their line-up before they host Sun Belt foe Florida International on Sunday. Middle Tennessee will be without middle hitter Andressa Lyra who was injured against Arkansas-Little Rock.
"The team, is of course, excited to play a little closer to home after
two long weeks on the road" said head coach Lisa Kissee. "We are trying to adjust to a three middle offense since Andressa will be out for four weeks."
Middle Tennessee will face a bigger UTC team that is very offensive. It will be a good test for the Lady Raiders to try out new things before going back into conference play.
"It is fortunate for us that we have this match scheduled as we need to
solidify the new line-up before we play Florida International this
weekend," Kissee said. "They are a scrappy defensive team and
have a much bigger block than they've had in past seasons, and they're
always fearless offensively."
