Although the Lady Raiders dropped three games over the weekend, Head Coach Lisa Kissee still liked what she saw. Most importantly the offensive power the team possess, and she hopes to cultivate as the season progresses.
"We played well right up until crunch time," Kissee said. "We would have a great beginning and finish but the lag in the middle really put us behind and it was hard for us to dig our way out."
In the Lady Raiders first mid-week game, at home, against an opponent they lost to last season, the team is looking for improvement and to tune up their game. The team is also hoping to create a more home court atmosphere in Alumni Memorial Gym.
"Last season was our first year in Alumni and I don't think we felt at home," Kissee said. "This year we are hoping to make the AMG our home and a tough place for opponents to play in."
