Track Squads Set for Busy Weekend

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Middle Tennessee track teams head into another busy weekend, with members split between the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., Friday and Saturday, and the Boston Moon Classic in Nashville, Tenn., Saturday.
Eleven Lady Raiders will take part in the 39th Sea Ray Relays at the Tom Black Track on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville. The women will run in the 4x100, 4x200m, 4x400 and 4x100-meter shuttle hurdle relays, with Laetitia Florimond and Stephanie Tamgho also in competition in the field events.
Six Blue Raiders will make the trip to Knoxville, led by VanTonio Fraley in the sprints, JJ Sturm in the jumps and Eric Mamadou Kone in the 800-meters.
The remainder of the men's and women's teams will compete Saturday in the Boston Moon Classic on the Tennessee State campus in Nashville.
Both teams will run next week at the Vanderbilt Invitational and one more time at the end of April before the Sun Belt Championships, set for May 13-15 in New Orleans, La.
