Middle Tennessee Posts PRs, Event Wins at Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA, GA — Middle Tennessee track and field turned in a strong performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational, recording multiple personal records and podium finishes over two days of competition.
On day one, Evan Tomlinson highlighted the sprints with a personal-best time of 10.62 in the 100 meters. In the distance events, Emma Thomas and Lauren Cole posted times of 4:50.60 and 4:50.92, respectively, in the women's 1500 meters. Xarya Udoumana delivered one of the top performances of the day, winning the women's long jump with a mark of 6.00 meters, while Hailee Gorham added an 11:42.84 finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
The next day, in the men's 4x100 relay team of James Thomas Jr., Mustapha Bokpin, Jonathan Harris, and Tomlinson captured first place in 39.73. James Thomas Jr. followed with a third place, personal-best finish of 46.67 in the 400 meters, and Viviana Salonia recorded a personal-best 2:19.48 in the women's 800 meters. Devin Walker cleared a personal-best 1.86 meters in the high jump, while Ross Evans clocked 1:55.99 in the men's 800 meters.
Bokpin won the men's 200 meters with a time of 20.34, and Jonathan Harris added a personal best of 21.69 in the same event. The women's 4x400 relay team of Chidinma Agu, Tamia Waters, Mariah Ivery and Courtney Green secured another victory for the Blue Raiders with a time of 3:38.40, while the men's 4x400 relay team placed third in 3:11.29.
