MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's 34th-ranked men's tennis team won the doubles point and all six singles matches, defeating Belmont late Saturday night at the Racquet Club of Murfreesboro. The Blue Raiders won their second match of the day, using almost the exact same lineup as a 7-0 victory over Chattanooga earlier Saturday. In doubles, Brandon Allan and Kai Schledorn defeated Belmont's Alex Gillott and Ignacio Gesto, 8-2, at No. 1, and Marco Born and Greg Pollack won 8-1 over Javier Rodriguez and Fausto Rocha at No. 2. Rishan Kuruppu and Marc Boiron lost to Belmont's Felipe Lima and Felipe Abreu, 7-6 (3), at No. 3. In singles, Middle Tennessee won four matches in straight sets and the final two in a pro set. Born, ranked 97th in singles, defeated Gillott, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1, and Kuruppu won 6-2, 6-0, over Rodriguez at No. 2. Schledorn was a 6-1, 6-2, winner over Lima at No. 2, and Allan defeated Rocha, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 4. Morgan Richard moved up to No. 5 against Belmont, winning 8-6 over Abreu, with Boiron stepping in at No. 6 and defeating Gesto, 8-6. Middle Tennessee hits the road next weekend to face Virginia Tech Saturday at 1 p.m. The Blue Raiders return home February 11 to take on Indiana at the Racquet Club. #34 Middle Tennessee 7, Belmont 0
