Blue Raiders Blank Arkansas State 3-0

JONESBORO, Ark. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (14-5, 5-1 Sun Belt) blanked Arkansas State (11-10, 4-3 Sun Belt) 3-0 (30-17, 30-19, 37-35) Sunday in the Convocation Center.
The shutout was the tenth of the season for the Blue Raiders and the third Sun Belt team the squad has swept this season. The Blue Raiders are now 3-1 on the road in Sun Belt matches.
Middle Tennessee was blistering on the court with a .323 attack percentage and only allowing the Indians a .154. The club also had 10 team blocks in the match.
Sophomore Ashley Adams led both teams with 18 kills and for the second consecutive match the outside hitter only committed two errors. Overall she had a .485 attack percentage and had one service ace.
Junior Victoria Monasterolo recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs. For the second consecutive match, setter Leslie Clark also recorded a double-double with a career-high 57 assists and career-high 15 digs. Junior Quanshell Scott also recorded double figure kills with 11.
Middle Tennessee returns home to start a five-match home stretch this weekend. The Blue Raiders face new Sun Belt Conference member Florida Atlantic Friday, October 13 at 7 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Gym.
