Junior WR Jonathan Grigsby
1. What is the one thing that stands out to you more than anything else from today's practice?
"Both side of the ball were really sluggish. We could have had more intensity. We had now enthusiasm. We have been focusing and talking about enthusiasm but today it was like we were just going through the motions. Today really wasn't a good day to brag about anything."
2. If you could play any other position on the field, what would it be and why?
"I would say quarterback because I played the position for two years (at Page High School in Franklin). I had fun having the ball in my hands before the play and knowing where it was going. I had fun leading the offense and being a leader out there."
3. What is the best advice you have been given?
"The best advice I have been given is never quit, always fight for things because nothing is going to be given to you. If you are number one you keep fighting to keep your spot. I have always been told to never give up, just keep fighting."
4. What are your thoughts on the 2006 season?
"I believe we are going to have a good year. (Director of Athletics Chris) Massaro has brought in a good coach (Rick Stockstill) and he has brought in a great strength coach (Russell Patterson) and they have been getting us prepared for the season. I can't wait for it to get here. We are working hard every day and it's going to pay off."
5. Which one of your teammates/coaches do you find to be the most interesting on or off the field and why?
"I would say Reggie Doucet because no matter what time of day it is he is always hyper and getting people into it. You hear him around the corner no matter where you are, breakfast, dinner, whatever it is, you hear Doucet."
6. What are some of your hobbies, interests, or hidden talents that someone may not know about?
"I love to play PS2. Basketball is probably my next favorite sport."
Junior DE Sean Mosley
1. What is the one thing that stands out to you more than anything else from today's practice?
"We still have our highs and lows. Some plays everybody is flying around and there are good plays, like (WR) made a big catch today but the lows are where like (tight end Stephen Chicola) would make a catch and the defense is just like jogging behind him while he is pulling guys down the field. It's just up and down right now."
2. If you could play any other position on the field, what would it be and why?
"Definitely quarterback because they are the focal point of everything. They are the leaders of the team and everybody looks to them. Crunch time you look to them to make a play and put the ball in the right position."
3. What is the best advice you have been given?
"Someone told me that failure can be success and that means a lot to us because the last couple of years we have failed but I believe we have guys who have learned from that, learned from what we were doing wrong, and we can be successful."
4. What are your thoughts on the 2006 season?
"We expect to win. We expect to win the Sun Belt and we don't want to settle for less."
5. Which one of your teammates do you find to be the most interesting on or off the field and why?
"I would say Chris Anderson because he's a comedian. He's reminds you of Bernie Mac."
6. What are some of your hobbies, interests, or hidden talents that someone may not know about?
"I'm a shop-a-holic."
