MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee will travel to Little Rock, Ark., for a 4:30 p.m. Saturday contest against UALR. The game will pit the Sun Belt Conference division leaders against one another, as the Lady Raiders hold a three-game lead in the East, while the Lady Trojans are ahead by two games in the West.
MT (14-4, 6-0 SBC) has won nine straight overall, tying three other schools for the ninth-longest current winning streak in the country. The Blue Raiders captured a 68-56 victory at rival Western Kentucky Wednesday in their last game.
UALR (14-3, 6-0 SBC) defeated Louisiana-Lafayette, 77-46, in Lafayette, La., in its last outing. Head coach Joe Foley's squad has won five in a row, second to MT in the Sun Belt.
Middle Tennessee owns a commanding 12-3 lead in the all-time series with head coach Rick Insell seeing his team claim three of the five contests since he came on board to coach the Lady Raiders prior to the 2005-06 campaign.
The Blue Raiders, who are receiving votes in both national polls for the second-straight week, will return home after Saturday's game for a 7 p.m. Wednesday tip against Arkansas State. However, earlier in the week at 6-7 p.m. Monday, fans can meet and greet with the team during the Rick Insell Show, a weekly radio show at Coach's Grill in Murfreesboro. Those in attendance also have the opportunity to ask questions to Coach Insell.
