MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee track and field teams will travel to Atlanta, Ga., this Saturday to compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
A competitive field of southeast's top programs await the Blue Raiders as the athletes continue to improve performances in the early goings of the 2010 outdoor season and look to get top marks in order to qualify for the 2010 NCAA Mideast Regional Championships.
With just one meet completed to this point, only Brittany Cox has earned the qualifying marks needed to compete at May's regional championship in Greensboro, N.C. Cox has marks in both the shot put and hammer throw earned last weekend at the Rhodes Open Meet with respective tosses of 51-10 (15.8m) and 178-11 (54.54m).
Cherice Robertson just missed qualification in the high jump missing the mark by three centimeters as she leapt 5-7.75 (1.72m).
Full results and coverage will be available post meet on GoBlueRaiders.com.
