MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team will continue their hectic tournament schedule on Monday as they open play at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.
Middle Tennessee is entering the event a week after finishing ninth at the Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate.
"I think we've had some pretty good individual performances this season, but we really haven't put it all together as a team yet," head coach Chris Adams said. "That's what we're missing. We need to put up three good scores, and for us to get competitive again we have to dig a little deeper and fight a little harder."
Morgan Hale, Karisa Akin, Steph Gough, Olivia Love and Ashley Haggard will all be making a return to the line-up after playing at the Lady Jaguar. Collectively, the group posted the best team round of the spring last week with a second round eight-over 296. Both Hale and Akin carded an even-par 72 in the round, tying for the best Blue Raider individual score of the season.
Stephanie Smith will be making the trip as an individual, marking her 2011 debut after competing in every fall event in 2010.
Middle Tennessee will begin play at the Panther Intercollegiate with 36 holes on Monday. Live scoring will not be available through Golfstat, but a daily recap will be provided at GoBlueRaiders.com.
