MT Closes Fall Season at Commodore Scramble

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee's men's tennis team will look to conclude the fall schedule on a high note at the Commodore Scramble in Nashville on November 7-9.
Vanderbilt will play host to MT, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, Memphis, Alabama and Ole Miss for the weekend's tournament.
In a field flooded with ITA ranked talent, the Blue Raiders will be strongly represented by Gian Issa, Yannick Born, Miguel Negre Fernandez and Robin Riethmueller.
The first matches will begin on Friday morning at 9:30 am and feature a round of doubles play followed by singles matches. During the afternoon session, which begins at 2:00 pm, only singles matches will be played.
Born and Riethmueller will pair up to face the Rebels' Kallberg and Gowda. Kallberg is ranked in the ITA in both singles and doubles play. Issa and Negre Fernandez join to take on Memphis' Peniston and Mayer.
Moving on to singles play, Riethmueller will start on court one against Vandy's Kris Yee, while Issa will be on court four going head-to-head against the Commodores' Jeff Offerdahl. Negre Fernandez will start singles play against Belmont's Marco Lovrinovic, while Born will take on the Bruins' Robin Demasse.
Doubles matches will be scored as 8-game pro sets, with a tiebreak at 7-all and no-ad scoring. For singles play, the scoring will be best two out of three sets with no-ad scoring.
