MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee will try for back-to-back wins for the first time this season when it travels to Boca Raton, Fla., to face the Owls of Florida Atlantic. The Blue Raiders are fresh off an upset win over Marshall while FAU had a hard fought game at division leading WKU.
Kickoff is set for 11:06 AM central time from Floyd Stadium and will be shown nationally on the American Sports Network (Comcast: Channel 18/1018; DirecTV: Channel 58; Dish: Channel 58; AT&T U-verse: Channel 58).
Middle Tennessee and FAU have met 12 times on the football field with the Blue Raiders holding a 9-3 advantage.

The receiving tandem of Ed Batties and Richie James officially became the top duo for a single-season in school history following the win over Marshall. James and Batties have now combined for 137 receptions this season to break the previous mark of 134 set by Kerry Wright (74) and Chris Henry (60) in 2004. James now has 73 receptions on the season while Batties has added 64.
BATTIES SETS TD RECORD
With a touchdown grab in overtime against Marshall, senior Ed Batties broke the single-season record of 11 set by Kerry Wright in 2004. Batties now has 12 on the season to rank fourth nationally and needs two more to tie for fifth on the all-time C-USA list. For his career, Batties now has 15 touchdown catches to rank eighth all-time.
STOCKSTILL ADDS TO SINGLE-SEASON RECORD
QB Brent Stockstill, who already owns nearly ever freshman passing record, established a new single-season mark at MT for 300-yard passing games with his 381-yard effort at LA Tech to give him four on the season. Stockstill made it five with a 353-yard effort in the win over Marshall. He stands second on the career list and is chasing all-time leader Wes Counts who had seven for his career.
STOCKSTILL SETS CAREER HIGH, ATTEMPTS RECORD
Freshman Brent Stockstill, who leads all first year players nationally in passing, is having a stellar rookie campaign. Against LA Tech, Stockstill completed 36 of 56 passes for 381 yards and all three were career highs. The 36 completions went down as a new school record as was the 56 attempts. The 381 yards passing ranked as the 5th most for a single-game at MT. For the year, Stockstill is averaging 25.78 completions per game to rank sixth nationally.

Brent Stockstill is now Middle Tennessee's single-season record holder in passing yards with 2,798 and he did it in just nine games. With 353 yards in the win over Marshall, Stockstill broke the previous mark of 2,789 set by Dwight Dasher in 2009. With a bowl game, Stockstill could become just the 10th CAREER 4,000-yard passer in school history.

Senior Kevin Byard tied a 33-year old Middle Tennessee record when he hauled in his 17th career interception against Vanderbilt. Byard currently shares the school record with James Griffin (1979-82) and needs one more to own the mark outright. Byard's 17 picks is currently tied for second nationally among active players.
