MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee track & field teams look to improve on their start to the outdoor schedule and are slated to compete in the Raleigh Relays and the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
After breaking two MT outdoor records at last week's Alabama Relays, the two programs will split, bringing their distance runners to North Carolina, while the remainder of the team travels to Atlanta.
The Blue Raiders who are slated to make the trip to Raleigh are Jackline Kiprono (5K), Hannah Maina (5K), Gladys David (5K), Hillary Rono (5K), Shadrack Matelong (5K) and Amos Cheruiyot (10K).
David was the lone runner that took part in a 5K or 10K races last weekend, while Maina, Kiprono, Rono and Matelong all raced in the 1,500 meter.
The remainder of the team will head to Georgia Tech and the George C. Griffin Track for competition Saturday.
