Blue Raiders face Memphis and VCU
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Men's Tennis is taking a trip to Memphis for a weekend double-header against the Tigers and VCU.
The 11-9 Blue Raiders square off against No. 47 Memphis on Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m. and then see the Rams on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m. in Memphis as well.
The Tigers feature 48th nationally ranked Connor Glennon in singles play as well as Andrew Watson at 58th. Glennon and Kai Lemke are the 59th ranked doubles pair in the country. Glennon is 17-7 in singles play this season with four wins over ranked opponents at the No. 1 spot.
VCU is 13-8 this season with Alexis Heugas holding an 18-5 record in singles play on the top-two courts.
Yannick Born, Ettore Zito and Ben Davis are all 6-3 in their last nine singles matches heading into the weekend. Zito and Dima Zyhmantovich are a perfect 4-0 in doubles action.
The Blue Raiders won two of their three matches in the MT Shootout and have four ranked opponents in their last six matches.
