MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee track & field teams are slated to compete in the Joey Haines Invitational Saturday April 2 at the Abe Stuber Track & Field Complex in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Dadzie Earns C-USA Accolade
Elziabeth Dadzie earned her first Conference USA weekly award after her efforts at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
The Kumasi, Ghana native competed in the long jump and javelin, placing second in the long jump with a personal-best 6.14 meter (20-2.75) bound. Dadzie's distance ranks as the 15th best in the NCAA and second best in Conference USA.
Dadzie also earned 13th in the javelin with her throw of 30.34 meters (99-6).
Ampomah Continues Early Success
John Ampomah, who opened the season with a facility record at the Alabama Relays, completed the same feat last week at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational with a throw of 77.59 meters (254-6).
Ampomah's distance ranks as the third farthest in the NCAA this season.
Record Time at Raleigh
Sampson Laari, racing in the 5,000 meter for the first time this outdoor season, broke a nine-year old Middle Tennessee record at the Raleigh Relays.
Laari placed 28th in a highly competitive field, finishing in 14:16.14. His time eclipsed the previous school record of 14:17.19, which was set by Festus Chemaoi.
