Blue Raiders set for War Eagle Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee is set for its sixth weekend of outdoor competition as the Blue Raiders will travel to Auburn for the War Eagle Invitational.

Action from Hutsell-Rosen Track is set for Friday at 2 p.m. as 12 Blue Raiders are scheduled to compete on the first day.

Qetuwrah Abdullah-Muhammad and Elizabeth Dadzie kick off the weekend for the Blue Raiders in the women's javelin, followed by Atarah Abdullah-Muhammad in the women's triple jump.

Rachel Kigen and Agnes Abu will jump start the track events for MT in the women's 1500-meter run.

On the men's side, Jacob Patten and Phillip Smith seek to improve their marks Friday afternoon in the men's triple jump.

On the track, Eliud Rutto, Hillary Rono, Geoffry Cheruiyot and Kigen Chemadi will race in the men's 1500-meter run, while Jacob Choge will close day one with the men's 5000-meter run.

Saturday's events are scheduled to resume at 11:30 a.m. in the field, before running events cap the weekend with a noon start time.
