Blue Raiders set for Conference USA Championships

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – With the 2017 regular outdoor season in the books, Middle Tennessee is set for the 2017 Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which begin Thursday at Kidd Field at UTEP.
Twenty-nine Blue Raiders are slated to compete in 64 events throughout the weekend.
Action gets underway Thursday as Elizabeth Dadzie and Qetuwrah Abdullah-Muhammad will represent MT in the women's heptathlon beginning at 2:45 p.m.
Championship action continues Friday with the hammer throw and continuation of combined events. The men's and women's 10,000-meter run will conclude the second-day action.
Saturday's field events will get underway at 1 p.m., with track preliminaries and select finals starting at 5 p.m.
Field events will conclude Sunday beginning at 1 p.m., while the remaining final track events will close the weekend beginning at 4:30 p.m.
