Blue Raiders to Compete at Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders return to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend to continue their indoor season at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
The contest will start on Friday with field events at 4 p.m. before wrapping up the day with running events at 7 p.m. Similarly, running events will commence at 10 a.m. on Saturday while field events will begin at 11 a.m.
The field will consist of 23 teams including Conference USA opponents UAB, Western Kentucky and Southern Miss.
Last time out, junior Kigen Chemadi recorded a new school record in the 3,000-meter event with a time of 7:58.46 at the Commodore Invitational. Meanwhile, four Blue Raiders (Adeniji Adedamola, Elizabeth Dadzie, Joycelyn Assafuah and Gladys Kipchumba) posted personal bests in their respective events this past weekend.
After the two-day event, the Blue Raiders will travel to the Kevin Stevenson Invite hosted by UAB next weekend.
