Raider Softball Wins Two More Fall Games

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee softball team improved to 4-0 on the fall season as they won 6-3 over Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday and 16-1 over Columbia State on Sunday.
In the win over Trevecca, Amber Baldwin and Riley Fleming each recorded hitless appearances while Corrina Dodd and Gretchen Mead only allowed one hit in their appearances. Keely McGee went 1-for-2 at the plate with a solo home run as the Blue Raiders scored four runs in the first four innings.
On Sunday, the Raiders put on an impressive offensive display with 16 runs over the scheduled 10 innings. Gracie Kirby hit a three-run home run in the first inning and the bats never cooled off. A six-run first inning was later followed by a four-run fifth inning and four more runs in the sixth. The pitching was solid as well, shutting out the Chargers for nine innings.

The Blue Raiders will host Volunteer State on Wednesday in at the Blue Raider Softball field before traveling to Knoxville to face Tennessee on Friday. Wednesday's game is slated for a 6pm first pitch and Friday's game is set to begin at 5pm.
