The Blue Raiders opened the Indoor Track & Field Season on Saturday at the Vanderbilt Home Opener. MT found plenty of success in their first competition of the season with 10 athletes finishing atop the field in their respective events.

The Blue Raiders won both of the 400 events with Jaquez Torian and Joycelyn Assafuah winning their divisions. Mirlege Castor posted third place finishes in both of her events.

MT dominated the Mid-Distance events on both the men's and women's sides. A 1-2-3 finish in the men's 800 was led by Tre'Von Sanders' second season opener victory. The men also went 1-2-3 in the Mile with Kigen Chimadi and Jacob Choge competing for the first time since last spring. The Women went 1-2 in the 800 in another strong performance.

Jebor and Jelagat followed up a strong Cross Country season with podium finishes in the 3K.

Both of the MT Relay teams won the 4 x 400 races.

Willington Wright turned in a top-5 performance in both of his events. Jacob Patten finished second to a jumper who broke the facility record.

THROWS
Isaac Odugbesan		Shot Put (M)	17.74m	1^st

Odugbesan won the men's shot put by more than a half a meter.

The Blue Raiders have completed competition for the calendar year, but will be back in action on January 5^th at the Tennessee State Invitational in Nashville.
