Track and Field Set for Music City Challenge

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men and women's track team are set to compete in the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee this weekend.
The challenge will start on Friday at 4 p.m. with field events before rounding off the day with running events at 6:30 p.m. Likewise, the meet will open with track events at 10:00a.m on Saturday before starting the remaining field events at 10:30 a.m.
Nine Blue Raiders are slated to compete in the Music City Challenge. Freshman Omolayo Omosola is set to open the challenge for the Raiders in the women's long jump event. Similarly, Mirlege Castor, Edidiong Odiong and Patience Akanwogba will represent the Blue Raider women in their respective events.
On the men's side, Braam Bisschop, Issac Odugbesan, Timothy Kimeli, Michael Stewart and Geoffry Cheruiyot will represent the Blue Raider men this weekend.
Meanwhile, four Blue Raiders will travel to Ames, Iowa to compete in the Iowa State Classic. Jacob Choge, Kigen Chemadi, Abike Egbeniyi and Agnes Abu will represent the teams track program in Iowa.
Up next, the team will head to Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the Conference USA Championship.
