Hercules and Kosgei Lead Blue Raiders in Louisville

Louisville, KY. – The Middle Tennessee cross country teams saw a total of nine personal bests at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday morning. All five runners from the Men's team posted personal best times with freshman Caden Hercules leading the team at 26:13.3 on the 8K course. Pamela Kosgei was the first freshman finisher in her third straight race as the paced the women's squad with a time of 17:08.0 on the 5K course.
The men's team ran as one of the youngest teams in the field, with three freshmen and a sophomore. Caden Hercules was the top MT finisher for the second time this season while Nathan Mack dropped 15 seconds off his previous personal record. Dennis Kipkorir made his collegiate debut and narrowly missed finishing sub-27 minutes.
The MT women showed their strong potential on the national stage. Three runners finshed faster than 18 minutes and the top five finished in less than 19 minutes. Pamela Kosgei ran her third straight personal best in her first season.

After a week off, MT XC will travel south west to Texas for the Arturo Barrios Invitational. The race will take place on Saturday, October 13th at the Watts Cross Country Course in College Station.
