Blue Raiders Ready for Ed Temple Classic

The Middle Tennessee Track & Field teams will compete for the first time in the new year when they travel to Nashville for the Ed Temple Classic hosted by Tennessee State. The Blue Raiders began their Indoor Track & Field Season back in December at the Vanderbilt Home Opener. MT had plenty of success in their first meet of the season with 10 athletes taking home first place finishes.

Historically Speaking
At least year's Ed Temple Classic, Middle Tennessee tallied seven first-place finishes as the women's team clinched a second place finish while the men posted a third place ranking. For the women, Cecelia Franics, Elizabeth Dadzie and Abike Egbeniyi all took first-place in the women's events of 55-meter hurdles, 55-meter dash and 400-meter dash respectively. Jacob Patten took home two individual titles in the high jump and in the triple jump.
