Raiders Round off the Final Day of the Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – Middle Tennessee rounds off their weekend at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Raider men's 4x200 team opened the morning competing in their relay final. The quad finished in 10th place, crossing the line with a time of 1:26.19. The men's top-10 team included Braam Bisschop, Jaquez Torian, Lamarco Petty, and Willington Wright. On the women's side, the 4x200 relay team of Abike Egbeniyi, Joycelyn Assafuah, Cecilia Francis, and Edidiong Odiong finished with a time of 1:37.88 to claim a seventh place finish overall after finishing second in their assigned heat.
Meanwhile on the field, Fabian Edoki notched a top-5 finish in the men's Section A long jump finals. The Middle Tennessee junior recorded his best distance of the evening on his fifth pass, recording a 8.00-meter distance.
The men's 4x400 relay team (Bisschop, Sanders, Stewart and Torian) rounded off the day at the Texas Relays for the Blue Raiders. The men's team clinched an eighth-place finish in the finals with a time of 3:11.25.

Benjamin Onyekwelu claimed a top-five finish for the Blue Raiders in the Section B heat of the men's long jump finals. The freshman inked a fourth-place finish with a distance of 7.42m.
The men and women's 4x100-meter relay teams placed among the top-20 as the women's team placed 16th (46.36) while the men finished in 19th place. Likewise, the women's 4x400-meter relay team claimed 14th place in the prelims.
