Lady Raiders Hosts a Pair of Matches, Senior Day on Saturday

MURFREESBORO, TENN. – The Lady Raiders finish up the regular season this weekend with a pair of home matches at Adams Tennis Complex. First swing will occur on Friday vs. WKU at 2:00pm followed up the next day by senior day festivities against Memphis at 2:00pm. Senior recognition will occur before the match on Saturday so please come early and support your three Lady Raider seniors.
Middle Tennessee is coming off a weekend where they split a pair of matches against Ohio teams. (W, 4-3 vs Cincinnati) (L, 4-3 vs Xavier)

Scouting Report: This will be the 37th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Hilltoppers with the last time they met MT won a tight one, 4-3. WKU comes into Friday with a 3-15 overall record with a 2-10 away record and has lost four-straight matches. Scouting Report: This will be the 26th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Tigers. Memphis comes into Saturday with a 11-9 overall record with a 4-5 away record. Last season, the Tigers finished 16-8 and fell in the second round of the ACC tournament to No. 26 Tulsa, 4-1.

Marta Peris Herrero – she has won eight of the last ten singles matches and four out of the last five doubles match ups.
Luisa Zirilli –holds the most wins in singles on the team with 16. She also has a 14-17 doubles record.
Lidia Burrows – is 15-18 on the season in singles and 8-10 in doubles.
Zani Barnard – righted the ship and has won four-straight singles matches to push her to 7-5 on the dual season.

Senior Costanza Magazzini has etched her name into the MTSU record book by jumping into the top 10 in all-time career single wins with 63, she is ranked No. 10. She is tied at No. 5 all-time with 65 double wins.
Luisa Zirilli is tied with Costanza Magazzini with 63 singles wins ranking them both at No. 10 all-time in program history.
