The Raiders Set to Face Marshall in Final Home Series of the Season.

Murfreesboro, Tenn.- The Middle Tennessee softball team looks to bounce back in their final home series of the season against Marshall. The Raiders (25-21, C-USA 9-8) are currently in third place and one spot behind the Thundering Herd (28-17, C-USA 11-7) in the East division of C-USA.
The Raiders will open with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 2:00p.m. The final game of the of the series is set for Sunday at noon and will be Senior Day for the Raiders.
The Raiders dropped three straight games to Western Kentucky earlier this week, making four consecutive losses stretching back to the series finale against FAU on April 14. The Raiders lost their first extra inning game this season in the final game of the series against WKU. The Raiders couldn't out last the Hilltoppers and fell 6-4 after 11 innings.
Marshall is coming off a conference series win against Louisiana Tech, taking two out of three from the Bulldogs.
This series will feature three of C-USA's heaviest hitters, Mya Stevenson and Aly Harrell from Marshall and Lexi Cushing from Middle Tennessee. Harrell is tied for third in the conference with 12 and Stevenson is tied for sixth with 10. Cushing is in sole possession of second with 13 long balls and is one away from tying her season record she set a year ago.
After the series with Marshall, the Raiders will travel to Denton, Texas to play their final series of the season against North Texas before heading to Birmingham, Alabama for the C-USA Championship Tournament.
