Lady Raiders ready for full weekend

MT hosts UT-Martin and Chattanooga, travel to Austin Peay
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team continue their homestand for two matches this weekend. The Lady Raiders will take on UT-Martin Friday and Chattanooga on Saturday at the Adams Tennis Complex. Free parking and free admission for both matches.

Here come the Blue Raiders
- Middle Tennessee's roster features two seniors (Marta Peris Herrero and Lidia Burrows), two juniors (Lee Barnard and Zani Barnard) and four freshmen (Love-Star Alexis, Muskan Gupta, Zoe Klapman and Noelle Mauro).
- The past decade, the Blue Raiders are 61-26 in home matches and 41-58 in away matches.
- Head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall enters her second season with the Blue Raiders.
- The Raiders finished 11-13 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA, reaching the tournament quarterfinals before falling to C-USA Champions Rice.
- Burrows and Herrero lead the Blue Raiders with a combined over 100 career singles wins.
- Freshman Love-Star Alexis led the Raiders with the most fall wins with seven, look for her to make an immediate impact this season.
- MT moved to 16-0 over Tennessee State.
- Last week, the Raiders completed their seventh match decided by one match. They defeated ETSU Sunday in a come-from-behind victory with senior Marta Peris earning the clincher on court four.

Scouting the Skyhawks
- The Blue Raiders lead the series 30-1.
- MT has won 21-straight matches over the Skyhawks, the last loss came in 1995.
- The Skyhawks are 1-4 with a win over Alabama A&M (6-1). The losses came from No. 22 Tennessee, Memphis, Ole Miss and Alabama.
- The Skyhawks finished 2019 with a 7-12 record, losing in the OVC tournament final against Ausin Peay (4-0).

Scouting the Mocs
- This will be the 39th meeting between the Mocs and the Blue Raiders. Blue Raiders lead the series, 20-18.
- The series has been back-and-forth the past six years, both teams have three wins apiece.
- Overall, the Mocs are 5-2 with wins over Union College, Ausitn Peay, Belmont, USC-Upstate and Brenau. The losses came from UNC-Asheville and Marquette.

Scouting the Govs
- The Blue Raiders lead the series 33-4.
- APSU defeated the Raiders in 2019 for the first time since 1991.
- The Govs are 7-1 with a win over UCA (4-3), Southern Ark. (7-0), WKU (5-2), Dayton (7-0), Wright State (7-0), Cumberland (7-0) and Carson-Newman (6-1). The lone loss came from Chattanooga (4-3).
