Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee baseball team heads to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to take on undefeated Alabama in a mid-week matchup. Both the Blue Raiders and Crimson Tide have completed three shutouts this season and are tied for second most in the country behind only Duke with five. First pitch is set for 3:00 PM CST at Sewell–Thomas Stadium.

About the Blue Raiders
• The 2020 Blue Raider roster is made up of 26 newcomers (19 transfers and seven freshmen) accounting for 74.3 percent of the team.
• MT is tied with Vanderbilt, Clemson, UCLA, Alabama, and LA Tech for second most shutouts in the country with three each and is behind only Duke with five.
• Juniors Zach Keenan and Adam Link combined for the program's first one-hitter since 2014 against Bradley on Thursday. The Brave earned their first hit with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning.
• The Blue Raider pitching staff ranks 73rd in the nation with a 2.83 ERA over the first seven games.
Scouting The Crimson Tide
• Alabama is led offensively by Tyler Gentry. Gentry is batting .407 with 11 hits, three doubles, two home runs, and a team high 10 RBI.
• The Alabama pitching staff ranks 6th in the country with a 1.29 ERA and is led by Connor Prielipp who has allowed no runs and one hit in nine innings of work.
• The Tide is coming off back-to-back series sweeps over Northeastern and UNLV.
All-Time vs. Alabama
• Alabama leads the series with the Blue Raiders 19-9, dating back to 1981.
• The last meeting between the Blue Raiders and Crimson Tide was on March 12, 2019 in Tuscaloosa. Alabama squeaked by the Raiders, 2-0, on an RBI-single in the sixth inning.
Last Time Out
• The Blue Raiders defeated Missouri State 4-0 in the final game of the SAF Classic on Sunday. MT finished the weekend 3-1 with three shutout wins over Bradley, Evansville, and Missouri State.
Next Time Out
• After the lone game against Alabama, the Blue Raiders will head down to New Orleans for a three-game series with Tulane starting on Friday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 PM.
