New Orleans, La. - After falling to Alabama 12-6 in a mid-week match up, the Middle Tennessee baseball team packs up and heads to New Orleans to take on Tulane for the first time since 2014. The Blue Raiders have faced a tough road schedule early, and continue the trend with the Green Wave as they rank just outside the top 25 nationally.

Scouting The Green Wave
• As a team Tulane is slugging .396 with 15 doubles, four triples, and five home runs. Grant Mathews leads the Wave offensively by batting .379, with eight RBI, a home run and a pair of doubles.
• Ten Tulane pitchers have an ERA under 3.00 and combine for 51 out of 74 innings pitched for Tulane.

• Tulane leads the series with the Blue Raiders 3-2, dating back to 1975.

• The Blue Raiders were unable to hold off the Alabama offense despite jumping out to an early 3-0 lead in the second innings. MT dropped the mid-week game 12-6 to the Crimson Tide.

• MT will return home on Tuesday, March 3 for a single game against Lipscomb at 3 PM before hitting the road again, this time for Conway S.C. and a meeting with Coastal Carolina.
