Blue Raiders open 2021 by hosting Vanderbilt Saturday at noon
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team will open its 2021 spring season against the No. 15 Vanderbilt Commodores Saturday at the Adams Tennis Complex at noon CT.
Due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans will not be allowed entry to watch the match. However, the Vanderbilt match can be seen on CUSA.tv and Playsight.

» The Blue Raiders finished 2020 with a 9-5 record and ended the shortened season hot on a six-match win streak.
» Middle Tennessee has won 13 of its last 20 dual-match home openers dating back to 2001, most recently knocking off Liberty 4-3 last season.
» Six players return from the 2020 roster, and MT also added two freshmen Liliana Danajlovski and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt.
» Graduate student Lidia Burrows has 74 singles wins to her name, ranked No. 4 in program history.

» Led by fifth-year seniors Christina Rosca and Emma Kurtz, the Dores also added Holly Staff and Anessa Lee to the program ahead of the 2020 fall season. Across the three fall tournaments, Staff and Lee led Vanderbilt with five singles wins apiece.
