Women's golf back in action at Ozarks National

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's golf returns to action from a three-week layoff for the Ozarks National Invitational, hosted by Missouri State at Ozarks National Golf Course in Hollister, Mo. The tournament will be played over three days from Monday, Oct. 18 to Wednesday, Oct. 20 on the par-72, 6,120-yard course.

"We have had a couple weeks since our last tourney and have gotten some good practice in and are ready to go," head coach Chris Adams said. "This golf course is going to be a great challenge, and we are looking forward to competing here the next three days."

- MT is coming off a 14th-place finish at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship, finishing the event with the sixth-lowest score in the third round.
- The Blue Raiders opened the season by posting the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history, carding a collective 855 (-9) to finish third at the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala.
- Graduate student Sophie Burks set a program record of her own in Mobile, turning in a 205 (-11) to tie for third individually and earn Conference USA Player of the Week honors.
- The Blue Raiders enter the tournament at No. 71 in the latest Golfweek Women's Collegiate Team Rankings.
- Middle Tennessee is the highest-ranked team in the field, with No. 92 Oral Roberts as the only other team in the top 100.
