PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – The Middle Tennessee women's golf program battled against strong winds in the second round of the White Sands Invitational Saturday morning, shooting a 307 (+19). The Blue Raiders dropped a spot to fourth on the team leaderboard with a combined 610 (+34).
Isabella Johnson continues to lead the way for both the Blue Raiders and the tournament shooting a 74 (+2) on the day. She put together two birdies on the day to keep her lead overall. With a combined 146 (+2), she will enter the final round with a one stroke lead on the hunt for her first collegiate individual title.
Nicole Johnson was able to drop a shot off her scorecard compared to her first round, jumping up to tie for 10th place. She played a clean back nine at just one over and tallied two birdies on the front nine for a 76 (+4) on the day.
Jillian Bowman sits right behind Johnson at T14 with another round at 77 (+5). She dropped in her first birdie of the tournament on hole 17 and with a 154 (+10) overall, she'll look for her best finish since Town & Country on Sunday.
Both Caroline Pardue and Brylee Crouse shot an 80 (+8) on the day to bump up a few spots on the player leaderboard. Crouse, competing as an individual, moved up to T29 and Pardue now ranks 32nd.
