PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – The Blue Raiders wrapped up their fall slate of tournaments with a fourth-place finish at the White Sands Invitational. The women's golf program saw three student-athletes finish in the top 20 in the event, with Isabella Johnson earning her second runner-up finish of the season.
Johnson shot her final round at 76 (+4) to tally her third top five finish as a Blue Raider. The sophomore completed competition at 222 (+6), dropping in four birdies with the difficult conditions on the course.
Jillian Bowman was the model of consistency en route to her 17th place finish at Ocean Club Golf Course. Turning in a 77 (+5) in both the first and second rounds, she shot a 78 (+6) on the final round to finish at 232 (+16).
Nicole Johnson finished just two strokes behind her at 234 (+18) for her second top-20 finish of her junior campaign. Like the whole tournament, the front nine saw struggles with strong wind gusts, but Johnson kept it consistent on the back nine, shooting seven holes at par, to shoot 81 (+9) Sunday.
Abbie Lee was able to drop a shot from her total Saturday, turning in an 80 (+8) on the final round. She placed T24 in the player competition with her 238 (+22) and dropped in two birdies on the morning.
Caroline Pardue was able to jump six spots on the leaderboard with a tournament-best 76 (+4) from the freshman. She consistently dropped shots day-over-day to finish T26 with a 239 (+23).
Brylee Crouse, who competed as an individual this weekend, placed 31st on the player leaderboard after turning in an 84 (+12) in the final round.
