MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders close out the 2021 regular season on Thursday as they host the Marshall Thundering Herd for Senior Day at Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
C-USA Leader
Senior Peyton DePriest enters the last weekend of the regular season atop Conference USA in goals scored (10), shots (72), shots on goal (35), goals per game (.62), shots per game (4.5), and shots on goal per game (2.19). DePriest ranks second in the conference with total points (23) and points per game (1.44).
Nationally, DePriest currently leads all NCAA D-I as the active career leader in goals scored at the D-I level with 56 goals over her five-year career. She also ranks 10th in shots per game, 19th in shots on goal per game, 32nd in total goals, 44th in goals per game, and 52nd in total points.
Between the Posts
Junior Hannah Suder has been a dominant presence for the Blue & White this season, collecting a C-USA second-best 65 saves on the season. Suder has also recorded three shutouts this season against Belmont, FAU, and UTEP.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
The Blue Raiders enter Thursday's contest in fourth place in C-USA East with a 8-7-1 record and a 4-3 mark in C-USA play through 16 games this season.
Middle Tennessee's offense is spearheaded by DePriest, who leads C-USA and the Blue Raiders with 10 goals, as well as tallying three assists for a C-USA second-best 23 points this season. Freshman Kirstine Lykke has scored a team second-best three goals this season, as well as recording a pair of assists for the Blue Raiders. Four Blue Raiders, senior Sam DeBien, juniors Cambell Kivisto and Elizabeth Slavinsky, and sophomore Taylor Hamlett have all tallied a pair of goals to round out the Blue Raiders multiple goal scorers during the 2021 campaign.

Marshall is in its second season under head coach Michael Swan, who has led the Thundering Herd to a 6-17-2 record, including a 0-12-1 mark in C-USA play during his time in Huntington.
Entering Thursday's contest, the Thundering Herd are 3-10-2 on the season and 0-6-1 in league play.
Marshall is led offensively by Meg Jarvis, who has scored a team-high five goals for a total of 10 points this season. Kat Gonzalez leads the Thundering Herd with a team-high 47 shots and 21 shots on goal, while also scoring a team second-best four goals and tallying an assist this season. Marshall's Morgan White and Courtney Corcoran are tied for the team lead in assists with two each during the 2021 campaign.
In net, the Thundering Herd are led by the duo of Mira Pastoft and Courtney McVicker. Pastoft has played 14 games and started 11, posting a 3-7-2 record between the posts for Marshall. She has tallied a team-leading 44 saves, recorded Marshall's two shutouts this season and allowed 20 goals. McVicker has gone 0-3-0 and played seven games with four starts in 2021. She has also recorded 23 saves and allowed nine goals.
Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders fell in an overtime heartbreaker 2-1 against the Rice Owls on Sunday.
Rice got things started early, scoring in the 19th minute to take a 1-0 lead, which remained through the halftime break.
The Blue Raiders eventually evened the contest when Cambell Kivisto powered one in around the conference-saves leader Bella Kilgore in the 75th minute to make the match 1-1 and send things into overtime.
However, the Owls netted the golden goal in the 103rd minute to take the 2-1 win.
Series History
The all-time series between Blue Raiders and Thundering Herd is even at 3-3-0 over the two program's six contests against each other. In Murfreesboro, the Thundering Herd holds a 2-1 lead over the Blue Raiders, however Middle Tennessee has a +5 goal differential, outscoring Marshall 14-9 over the six contests in the all-time series.
