Blue Raiders to Take On ODU in Regular Season Finales

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders are heading on the road for their last pair of conference matches with Old Dominion before the Conference USA Tournament goes underway in two weeks.
Middle Tennessee is looking to finish out their regular season with their best record since 2013 and is the third team in C-USA to clinch a spot in the conference tournament. The Monarchs will be looking to finish their season out with two wins, as they sit outside of the current top-four in the Eastern Division. The Monarchs will need outside help from Western Kentucky and FIU this weekend to get into the conference tournament.

- Friday, November 5 at 5 p.m. CT – CUSA.TV
- Saturday, November 6 at 1 p.m. CT – CUSA.TV
- Hosted at ODU Volleyball Center – Norfolk, Virginia
- The all-time series is tied at 1-1.
- Both matches went to five sets last season, with ODU getting the last win.
Blue Raider's Quick Hitters
- The Blue Raiders end their season at home with their highest home win percentage since 2010 at .833.
- Marley Banton had an amazing weekend with a career-high 39 digs (that is the highest mark in the conference this season) for a 7.8 digs/set average in a win over FAU on Friday, followed by 29 digs with 4 service aces on Sunday. She is averaging the second most digs in C-USA with 4.62 digs/set. Banton is tied for third all-time with 80 career service aces now.
- The two natives of Istanbul, Turkey, Melisa Nur Temiz and Melisa Tore, are sitting at fourth and fifth for highest service aces per set average in C-USA with .44 and .43 respectively.
- Dasia Smith had her best weekend of the season with an efficient 25 kills on a .373 hitting percentage.
Tale of the Tape: Old Dominion Monarchs
- Friday's match is Senior Night for the Monarchs.
- Old Dominion was at 11-6, 3-2 before going on their current five-match loss streak, the last three being sweeps.
- Old Dominion is a match or two away from being eliminated, depending on Marshall's performance this weekend against FIU.
- Offensively, the Monarchs are led by Hailey Duncan who leads the team in kills (212) and a very impressive hitting percentage (.332).
- The Monarchs serving is one of the best in the conference with three student-athletes over 20 serving aces this season.
- Defensively, Old Dominion has two players with over 85 blocks in Duncan (91) and Olivia De Jesus (87). Freshman Jordan Daniel leads the Monarchs with 308 digs, but only a combined 15 digs in the last three matches.
