Blue Raiders Wrap Up a Productive Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee track and field team successfully finished the second and final day of the Music City Challenge with one win and a new indoor school record.
Sprints
Cecilia Francis blew past the competition en route to the women's 60-meter title. Her time of 7.34 was a new women's indoor school record in the event. Agnes Abrocquah, with a time of 55.15, finished third in the women's 400 meters. Matthew Stewart led the four Blue Raiders runners in the men's 400 meters with 49.16 to finish fourth. Nickson Pierre would follow behind him in fifth, and Darian Jones would finish sixth while Michael Fuqua would round it out in eighth place. Glory Nyenke finished fourth in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.30.
The Blue Raiders will rest, recover and train before they step back onto the track on February 20th and 21st to compete in the C-USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
