EUGENE, Ore. – It was an evening full of awards for Mustapha Bokpin at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., as he completed his sophomore outdoor season. The Ghanian brought home First Team All-America honors for the 100- and 200-meter races.
Bokpin came in just under 10 seconds in the 100-meter competition for his first race of the evening. His third sub-10 finish of the season earned him a sixth-place spot on the podium, crossing the line in 9.99 seconds.
Less than an hour later, he was back in the blocks for the 200-meter race. Bokpin was neck and neck with the runners who finished second and third, completing the 200 in 20.04 seconds to place fourth, less than five-hundredths of a second off the second-place athletes. The mark represents a personal best for the sophomore, seven-hundredths of a second better than his previous best, set at the 2026 Conference USA Outdoor Championships.
Bokpin is the first male Blue Raider to earn First Team All-American honors in numerous events in the same championship during head coach Keith Vromann's time at the helm of the program.
