LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Middle Tennessee track and field team continues to improve on the early season with three first place finishes and numerous facility records broke at the PNC Lenny Lyles Indoor Invitational hosted by Louisville.
Lyn'Nikka Vance continues to show her elite speed, setting a new facility record with a blazing 7.47 second 60-meter dash. Vance's new time is good enough for a personal best and sits at the top of Conference USA. Vance took sixth in the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.61 seconds.
The jumping queen, Esther Isa, eclipsed the previous facility record of 11.72m with 12.77m in the women's triple jump. Beating her previous number one spot in C-USA of 12.62m by .15m. Isa also took second place in the women's high jump with a height of 1.79m, which also marks the number one spot in C-USA.
Omamuyovwi Erhire dominated for a third weekend in a row, this time setting a facility record and taking first in the men's triple jump with a length of 15.48m. This weekend's jump would rank second in C-USA, only behind his own 15.69m jump from the Commodore Indoor two weeks ago.
Glory Nyenke found herself near the top for the women's 400m dash again, taking third with a time of 55.00 seconds. 55.00 is Nyenke's best 400m time this season and would rank third in C-USA coming into the weekend.
