Blue Raiders in sixth through two rounds

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's golf improved on its first round score Monday, posting a 284 (-4) in the second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Owen Stamper and Kevin Jegers carded matching scores of 69 (-3) Monday to lead the Blue Raiders.
MTSU is in sixth place as a team at 570 (-6) through two rounds.
Stamper and Jegers each recorded five birdies on the day. Stamper is tied for 11th at 140 (-4) heading into the final round, while Jegers is tied for 26th at 143 (-1).
Carter Maneth ended Monday's action tied for 26th at 143 as well, carding four birdies and four bogeys in an even-par second round.
Michael Barnard is tied for 40th at 145 (+1). Gavin Clements enters the final round tied for 55th at 147 (+3).
