Lenard named Preseason All-Conference USA; Blue Raiders picked fourth

DALLAS - Conference USA announced its men's basketball preseason awards Thursday, with Middle Tennessee's Teafale Lenard, Jr., among the Preseason All-Conference honorees. The Blue Raiders were picked to finish fourth in presason coaches poll.
Lenard is coming off a freshman season in which he was named C-USA Freshman of the Week four times and set the single season program record for dunks. The Snyder, Texas, native also blocked 58 shots, the fourth-highest single season total on record and the 10th-most in a Blue Raider career.
The Blue Raiders were fourth in the preseason poll, highest among teams not receiving a first-place vote. MTSU is coming off a 26-11 finish to the 2021-22 season in which it won the C-USA East Division and reached the finals of the CBI.
The season kicks off against Brescia on Monday, November 7, at 11 a.m. at the Murphy Center.
