Game Notes
Thoughts from Head Coach Rick Insell
"We put the ball in the hole, played good defense and I think that surprised (Memphis)," Insell said about the first half.
"Memphis came back out in the second half, got more aggressive and got themselves back in the basketball game. First half, we shared the ball, moved the ball and finished. In the second half, we didn't finish. We're a good basketball team. I'm pretty proud of our kids. There's some things we have to come back in tomorrow if we're going to beat Houston. Houston's got a good basketball team."

Game Notes
- Gregory is the first Lady Raider to hit seven 3s in a game since Deja Cage hit seven vs. Troy Dec. 17, 2020. Entering Saturday, no other Conference USA player had made more than six in a game. Her 19 attempts beyond the arc is tied for third in program history in a single game with Dor Saar (at Troy - Dec. 11, 2021).
- Courtney Blakely dished a career high eight assists.
- Middle Tennessee improves to 3-0 in December and 3-0 on Saturdays this season.
- This afternoon's 69-53 win was the largest margin of victory for the Blue Raiders in the all-time series vs. the Tigers since the first two teams met back in 1976. Middle Tennessee won 75-52 on March 4, 1976 at the TCWSF State Tournament in Johnson City, Tenn.
