Blue Raiders return home to face Maryville

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After a four-game road trip dating back to Thanksgiving Weekend, Middle Tennessee Men's Basketball is back at the Murphy Center for the first time since November 15 this Saturday against Maryville College.
Tipoff from the Glass House is slated for 2 p.m. The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN+. Saturday's game can also be heard on 94.9 The Fan, 95.1 in Murfreesboro, as well as WGNS 101.9 FM, 100.5, and 1450 AM. GoBlueRaiders.com and the Varsity Network App will also carry the radio broadcast.
MTSU has opened the 2022-23 campaign 5-3. Three consecutive wins in the Northern Classic in Laval, Quebec, opened the team's recent road trip before a 71-64 loss at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night.

» Elias King recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Hofstra in the opening game of the Northern Classic. King averaged 10.3 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting .462 (6-13) from 3-point range and blocking five shots in the three games. His second-chance layup put MTSU ahead of Montana State with 18 seconds left, and his defensive rebound on the other end sealed the victory Sunday.
» Jestin Porter averaged 13.7 points per game in the Northern Classic and has scored in double figures in three straight games.
» DeAndre Dishman is one of just six seventh-year players in Division I men's basketball this season. His 14 points and 10 rebounds at Winthrop marked his second double-double as a Blue Raider and the fourth of his college career.
» The Blue Raiders wrapped up a stretch of five straight games away from home. This is the longest stretch between regular season home games since MTSU played seven straight games away from the Murphy Center from December 16, 2017 to January 6, 2018.
