Blue Raiders Are Heading to the War Eagle Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's and women's track and field teams are heading to the War Eagle Invitational hosted by Auburn, Friday, April 15th, and Saturday, April 16th.

The Meet Schedule
The Blue Raiders will kick off their weekend Friday with the women's long jump at 4:00 p.m. CT. On Saturday, men's high jump and women's triple jump will start things off at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Last Time Out for the Blue Raiders – Day 1 Recap | Day 2 Recap
Alaba Akintola was showing off during the Tennessee Relays' Power Hour, taking first place in both the 100m dash (10.27 seconds, second best time in C-USA this season) and the 200m dash (21.04 seconds, just 0.05 seconds off from the C-USA best).
In just her second official meet with the Blue Raiders, Abigail Kwarteng took gold in both the women's high jump and long jump. During the high jump, Kwarteng hit a mark of 1.83m which would be second in conference to her previous mark of 1.84m. In the long jump, she reached a personal-best mark of 12.79m. Due to these results, Kwarteng was awarded her second Conference USA Field Athlete of the Week honor.
On hurdles as well, good things continued to happen for MT, with a male and female sweep of the 400m hurdles from Stephen Eloji (53.92 seconds) and Glory Nyenke (1:03.67).
