Women's Golf tees off today in C-USA Championship
Down in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Middle Tennessee women's golf is teeing up for the C-USA Championship this week at the PGA National Resort. Competing on the Par 72, 6,154-yard course, MT enters the week as the fifth ranked team in the conference by Golfstat at No. 109 nationally. North Texas is the highest ranked C-USA team at No. 44.
"The conference is pretty deep this year, and we're right about in the middle of the pack as far as rankings go," head coach Chris Adams said ahead of the week. "But rankings are just a number, and when we play to our capabilities, we can compete with anybody."
Practice round in paradise. #BlueRaiders pic.twitter.com/Gkcu0VfFfx

Kwarteng beats her own Ghanan High Jump record in Middle Tennessee Blue
Down in Auburn at the War Eagle Invitational, Abigail Kwarteng continued her dominance of the high jump, setting a new Middle Tennessee program record in the event with a 1.92 m leap. The jump also bested the national record of Kwarteng's Ghana, a record that Kwarteng herself held prior to this weekend.

The jump currently is the third highest jump any collegiate athlete has completed this season, and the fifth highest jump any woman has completed in the world this year. Unsurprisingly, it's also the best mark in Conference USA.

RCA Fan Voting Now Open!
If you've been curious why I've been tweeting less this past week, let me clue you in on why: The Raiders' Choice Awards are just around the corner! And while we in the Athletic Communications office have been hard at work getting ready, Blue Raider fans around the world have a chance to be a part of the celebration this week!
Fan Voting is now open for Play of the Year, Performance of the Year and Game/Event of the Year on GoBlueRaiders.com. You can follow the link here to go directly to your ballot! There are so many worthy nominees in these three categories. So much so I'll need even more time to narrow my ballot down.
Be sure to check out the videos embedded on site to get the lowdown on those nominated! It was fun for us to go back through them all this week and remember what's been a standout year for the Blue Raiders throughout the athletic department.
