DALLAS – Middle Tennessee's Caroline Caudill has been named the Conference USA Most Improved Golfer of the Year and to the All-C-USA Third Team, as announced by the league office today.
"Very proud of what Caroline has done this year," head coach Chris Adams said. "She has been the most consistent player for us and has shown great leadership. Conference USA has a lot of great players, and for to be named both All-Conference and Most Improved is awesome."
Caudill recorded a stroke average of 74.76 in 2021-22 to lead the Blue Raiders after averaging 76.22 in 2020-21. She entered the season with a career stroke average of 76.0 in her first four seasons. She finishes her career seventh in program history with a stroke average of 75.65.
The graduate student from Clarksville, Tenn., also led Middle Tennessee with 77 birdies and three eagles on the year. Her three top-10 finishes doubled her career total entering the season.
Caudill was MT's highest finisher in five of its 10 tournaments in 2021-22. She is the first Blue Raider to be named C-USA Most Improved and the 19th to be named All-C-USA.
"We're very grateful for all that Caroline has done in her five years at MTSU," Adams said. "It's not very often you have someone who has done what she has done during her career here."
