MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis wrapped up play in both the Hoosier Classic and Samford Invitational on Sunday.

HOOSIER CLASSIC
MTSU only competed in singles in the final day of the Hoosier Classic.

Muskan Gupta picked up her third singles win in three days over Northern Kentucky's Mariajose Hernandez 7-5, 6-2. Cara Szilasi and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt fell in their respective single matches.

Anaya Kothakota (NKU) def. Cara Szilasi (MTSU) 6-0, 6-0

SAMFORD INVITATIONAL

In the three doubles matches, MTSU played two matches against South Alabama and one match against UAB. The Blazers and Jaguars took the win in the three matches.

In singles, the Blue Raiders faced the host team of Samford splitting the six single matches.

Love-Star Alexis posted a 6-3, 6-2 win over Samantha Nanere. Sana Garakani picked up her first collegiate singles win against Alexis Lopez 7-5, 6-2. Noelle Mauro defeated Ally Hayduk 0-6, 7-5, 15,13. Rutuja Chaphalkar, Camila Barragan and Karen Yibirin came up short in their single matches.
