Bebelaar, Caudill lead Blue Raiders in first round of USA Intercollegiate
MOBILE, Ala. — Molly Bebelaar and Catherine Caudill led the way for Middle Tennessee on Saturday in the first round of the 2022-23 season. The two veterans paced the Blue Raiders by finishing the day tied for 17th and 23rd place, respectively, at the USA Intercollegiate.
MTSU finished the round in ninth place at 292 (+4) as a team on a cloudy day on the par-72, 6,110-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Course.
Bebelaar started strong with birdies on two of her first five holes before a pair of bogeys dropped her back to even par. A birdie on hole 14 as part of a birdie-free back nine helped her end the day in the top 20.
Caudill played a steady game Saturday, recording a birdie and a bogey on both the front nine and back.
Rounding out the lineup, Abbie Lee sits in a tie for 41st at 74 (+2), Taylor Edlin is in a tie for 46th at 75 (+3), and Lanie Campbell is tied for 70th at 79 (+7). Playing as an individual, Lauren Gilchrist heads into the second round tied for 60th at 77 (+5).
