Blue Raiders complete day one at the ITA Regional Championships in Knoxville on Thursday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee women's tennis competed in day one of the ITA Regional Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. on Thursday.
In singles, Sana Garakani won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 against Purdue's Milic 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Garakani moves on to the round of 64 on Friday.
In doubles, Garakani and Hrudaya Shah defeat Clement and Noguero of Louisville 8-5. Eloise Swarbrick and Alessia Truden picked up an 8-3 victory over UTC's Gibbens and Peeler. Both advanced to the round of 32. The two doubles teams fell short in the round of 32.
